Microneedling uses tiny needles to create micro-injuries in your skin’s surface, which springs your body’s natural regenerative response into action. This leads to the new production of collagen and elastin, the building blocks behind healthy, youthful skin.

What Does Microneedling Treat?

Microneedling treats several different concerns on both the face and body, including:

If you’re looking for skin tightening as well, you may be a candidate for RF microneedling, which adds in radiofrequency energy to encourage deeper rejuvenation.

What Is It Like To Have Microneedling Done?

Your experienced provider will start by applying a topical anesthetic to your skin to keep you comfortable throughout your treatment. Next, your provider will pass the handheld microneedling device over your skin, creating a series of tiny punctures. Your treatment concludes with an application of some protective skincare products and instructions for aftercare.

What Is Recovery Like After Microneedling?

You can expect to have some redness for 2 to 3 days as your skin heals. You’ll need to avoid wearing makeup until your skin is fully healed to prevent any blockages or breakouts. Using gentle, unscented products and wearing plenty of sunscreen will help your skin heal beautifully.

I had an appointment with Dr. Stef for a dermatology check and biopsy. Great office staff, super sweet nurse, and a terrific doctor who not only took her time to explain everything before, during, and after the biopsy appointment, but followed up when she said she would. She even spent about 15 minutes on the phone with me to explain the results to make sure I completely understand everything. Wish I could give more than 5 stars. I will definitely return to Revive and recommend Dr. Stef to all my friends. Best office ever!!!!!!!

Stef Gatica and team are the best in the metro. From cosmetic procedures to more medical issues like acne, rashes, mole removals, painful dry skin, etc... her team has treated my entire family over the years and I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. Never satisfied with subpar results, they will continue to encourage and adjust treatment plans until the issue has resolved.
